My clients amaze me some time. Instead of paying for 8 hours of travel time at 1/2 the normal rate they pay for tech support they'll have me ship the equipment to them and then ask me to walk them through setting it up over the phone. That always causes issues and winds up taking like 12 hours at 100% labor rate.

thats like the guy that asks me if changing spark plugs in his truck is hard. I tell him yes, and you need a few special tools. Then he decides to do it himself anyway. Calls me later on in the day in a frenzy, I give all the advice over the phone I can. Then later the truck gets towed to the shop for me to fix.
