Well, ok. It is their "4th of July".
Detroit and Windsor (the Canadian city right across the river) always do a joint firework thing. But the dumb part of it, is that they did it overa week ago. They always do it a week or 2 before either holiday.
I didn't know they did it that early.. I would've drove out there to see it.
They always used to do it on a Wednesday a week before July 1st, but this year they moved it to that Monday.
Monday night????

I have traveled about 20 miles in the last hour. I went on a test drive about 30 minutes ago.

I remember back in '99 or 2000 maybe, me and a friend left my house at a little after 9, to go try and meet up with some friends to watch them on the Canadian side. Damn near every street in downtown Detroit was closed, and somehow found a way to the tunnel. We were the ONLY people crossing the boarder. Firecrackers are loud as HELL in the tunnel BTW. We ended up parking and getting to the river just in time for the fireworks. Never met our friends. Took the bridge back, threw more firecrackers out the window and off the bridge. Yeah, we were pretty dumb.
