JDubb Wrote:Hey, I am planning on going this year (Eddie and I can compete for the old guy award). As many of you know I am also a Gary Vee fan. I contacted Gary this morning to try to arrange a studio visit of his show and/or a WLTV tasting at his store in Jersey. I will let you all know if and when I hear back and how receptive he is to either or both. It would be cool to get a bunch of dudebros to do a WLTV tasting.

Posting this everywhere aren't you.

Re: Dudebro Convention 2011 New York City - Greg Mercer - 03-16-2011

Just talked to Rich and the crew about setting up a definitive schedule of events for the DBC. Here is our tentative schedule so that you can decide what days you'd like to arrive and/or participate:

Tuesday, May 31 - 7 PM - Dicky Davis Comedy Night @ Gotham Comedy Club
Wednesday, June 1 - 7 PM - Pirates vs. Mets @ Citi Field
Thursday, June 2 - 7 PM - Bowling Extravaganza w/ Barnando
Friday, June 3 - 12 PM - Covino & Rich Show LIVE @ Sirius/XM Satellite Radio
Friday, June 3 - 7 PM - Dudebro Karaoke and Bar Meetup in NYC (I'll get the name of the place later)
Saturday, June 4 - TBD
Sunday, June 5 - TBD

We'll be asking for head counts over the next days/weeks to get everything squared away in preparation for the events!

I think we should switch Tuesday and Thursday events. Rich told me that the comedy did not have to be on Tuesday night. I think that the weekend crowd would be far more interested in seeing the comedy than going bowling. I personally have no desire to go bowling and if the bowling is Tuesday night, that would save myself and a few others a night of costs I am sure, as I would come Wednesday if there is bowling Tuesday night. But everyone wants to see the comedy. If it it Thursday night, then people only have to really take one or two days off work , since most people will not take an entire week off for the DBC.

Also, I thought Spot said something about getting the fishbowl Thursday and Friday. Is that still an option?

What about sponsors? Any word on that? Is Sirius going to participate in any way?

I am in for the Pirate/Mets game and the Comedy. Count me out of bowling. I am on the fence for Karaoke. Karaoke is only fun if there are chicks there.

I doubt much will go on at all Sunday, might as well call that getaway day.

Mercer, if you are emailing with the guys on this can you CC me?

Re: Dudebro Convention 2011 New York City - Joe - 03-16-2011

I'd love to see the comedy show, but I won't be there until Thursday.

Re: Dudebro Convention 2011 New York City - Greg Mercer - 03-16-2011

Rich called me this afternoon with his ideas...no emails were exchanged. This was the schedule he thought would work best. He did ask me when I thought most people were coming, and I told him I didn't know. I think he said something about Thursday being not so good for comedy because it's a very busy night for the club. If I were you, I'd ask him about it.

I don't really care when we do things as long as most people can go, so that's why I said this was tentative. No matter what we do some people are going to be left out...it's impossible to accommodate everyone.

I think Spot is only reserving the big studio for Friday. Rich did say that anyone could come any other day. If there's going to be a bunch of people on any other day it might get sketchy though.

Pirates vs. Mets - 6/1/11

Please RSVP by April 17...if you aren't on Facebook, just let me know here or on the C&R forum. Tickets will be ordered on the 18th. Please RSVP only if you are CERTAIN you are coming. This is how I'm determining how many tickets to buy, and I don't want to be left with many/any extras.

Tickets are $15 each (thank the Pirates for being crappy enough for the Mets to make it a value game). Seats will be in the Promenade Reserved Infield section (hopefully in the upper deck behind home plate where we sat last year).

I think I would rather people pay in advance and then mail the tickets out again; that way I don't have to worry about collecting at the last minute.

On second thought I am totally going and blowing up Jerkman's finger blasting story to his "woman"

If the weekend ends and he's not crying I'll have respect for him.

I was going to say, you could "accidently" push him down the stairs or something.

Re: Dudebro Convention 2011 New York City - Pete Nice - 04-04-2011

SO besides me and Joe, who is actually going to this?

Sound off here if you are going or not going.
